Kannon, the Goddess of Mercy

Founded in the first half of the 7th century. The “elevenfaced, thousand-armed, thousand-eyed Kannon Bosatsu” is a national treasure. The wisteria trellis in spring is magnificent. The Nandaimon in the photo was rebuilt twice, and statues of Nio are enshrined on both sides.
