Sweets born in Tamba that can be enjoyed at a modern Japanese café

Nakajima Taishodo is dedicated to using ingredients from Tamba, a region nurtured by the richness of nature. The many Japanese and Western-style confections made from selected ingredients such as Tamba chestnuts, Tamba black beans, and Tamba Dainagon azuki beans are a must-try when visiting the Kansai region.
The new store in Yodoyabashi, where hotels and offices are concentrated, has a café where customers can spend time in a relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy exquisite sweets made from Tanba chestnuts grown on the company's own farm, as well as limited edition sweets that can only be found here. A wide variety of baked sweets are also available.

  Freshly squeezed Tamba chestnuts Mont Blanc 1,650yen. This popular sweet is filled with a delicate paste made from Tanba chestnuts. The crispy texture of the meringue and whipped cream are in perfect harmony.

  Kurimaru: 660 yen per piece (Take-out: 648 yen). Large Tanba chestnuts are placed inside the crispy pie crust! The deep richness of the chestnuts and the Kintoki sweet potato filling are a perfect match.

  Kayabuki 935 yen (Take-out 918 yen). This specialty cake has a rich and smooth Mont Blanc cream made with Tanba chestnuts and the aroma of brown rice meringue.

  Imokuri - 195 yen per piece (take-out only). Carefully back-foiled Japanese chestnuts and sweet Kintoki sweet potatoes are used. Baked with a rich flavor, you can feel the goodness of the ingredients themselves.

  Nakashimataishodo's main store is located in Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture. In a space that makes use of a quaint thatched private house, we offer oven-baked pizza and our signature sweets that incorporate the bounty of the satoyama. The delicious time spent while admiring the seasonal scenery will relax your mind and heart. Reservations are recommended (except for major holidays and the fall season).
