Enjoy the beauty of art and gardens in this spacious building
An art museum where you can enjoy both the garden and the masterpieces. It was established by Izumi City with the donation of land, buildings and art works from Kuboso Co., Ltd., which ran a cotton business. It has around 11000 pieces of Ukiyo-e woodblock prints and modern Western art, mainly oriental antiquities including 2 national treasures and 29 important cultural properties. They hold 4 ~ 5 special exhibitions a year to display their collections, and they also hold their own special exhibition once a year. In the regular display in the new building, western modern paintings such as Monet and Renoir are exhibited as well as Chinese artifacts.

Admission: Adults 500 yen, high school and university students 300 yen (The special displays are up 100 yen each. The special exhibition differs depending on the plan.), junior high school students and younger are free.

Closing dates : Mondays (It is open on national holidays and closed on the following weekdays.), during the display change period.
