Visit Glover Garden as it celebrates its 50th anniversary since opening.
Minamiyamate Hill, where traces of foreign merchants who came to Nagasaki at the end of the Edo period and during the Meiji era still remain. Glover Garden is home to three buildings designated as Important Cultural Properties by the Japanese government, including the Former Glover Residence, as well as six relocated and reconstructed buildings. Glover Garden has just celebrated its 50th anniversary on September 4, 2024. You can enjoy not only a stroll through the park but also the spectacular view from the top of the hill.
Park Tour
Free scheduled tours by the park’s historical tour guide are also popular. (Guided tours are available from 11:00, 13:00, and 15:00 daily except in bad weather, etc.). Those who wish to join the tour should go to the first floor of the former Mitsubishi No. 2 Dock House to complete necessary procedures.
