A culture of the Heian period enjoyed by the five senses
This museum allows visitors to experience the world of "The Tale of Genji," the world's oldest full-length tale. There are a variety of hands-on exhibits, such as "Kaimami," which shows visitors the circumstances of love in the Heian period (794-1192), original animations, and "Genji Kou," in which visitors can guess the difference between the two by using familiar scents. There is also a free information zone where visitors can learn about "The Tale of Genji" through books and other materials.
