Architectural style handed down by Japan's oldest main shrine
It enshrines three main deities: Emperor Ojin, Todo Wakarako and Emperor Nintoku. The main hall, which consists of three halls in the Ichikensha style, was built in the Heian period and is the oldest surviving shrine building in Japan. Both the haiden and haiden are national treasures, a house built in the style of a temple. It is said that it was once the guardian shrine of Byodo-in Temple along with Uji-Jinja Shrine.
The highlight is the main hall, the oldest shrine building in Japan. The main feature of the three shrines is that they are large on the left and right and small in the center.
