Kyoto Aquarium

You can see a wide variety of jellyfish and creatures from Kyoto's rivers and oceans

A large inland aquarium in Umekoji Park. About 15000 living creatures of about 250 species will be exhibited in 10 areas, including the world's largest amphibian, the giant salamander, fur seals, penguins and seals. You can encounter a variety of creatures full of individuality.
The photo shows Jellyfish Wonder, which opened in 2020 and exhibits 5000 jellyfish of about 30 species.

  The "River of Kyoto" area reproduces the nature of the Kamo River and Yura River. Japanese giant salamanders are on display.
