The stone-paved road connecting Yasaka and Kiyomizu is also a fun side trip to the souvenir shop
A stone-paved road that was built as a pilgrimage route to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. It is crowded with tourists because it connects Yasaka-jinja Shrine, and there are sweet shops and souvenir shops along the road. The north side of the stone steps is Ninen-zaka Slope, and the south side is Sannei-zaka Slope. There is also a theory that the name 'Sannei-zaka Slope' came from the popular belief that 'if you fall down on this slope, you will die within three years.'
The photo is of a popular photo spot that overlooks Ninenzaka from the stone steps.
