六角堂 頂法寺 vol19 グラビア

The name comes from the shape of the main hall and the cute dove fortune is also famous.

A temple reportedly founded by Prince Shotoku. The official name of the temple is Shiunsancho Hoji, but it has been popularly known as the "Rokkakudo" because the main hall is hexagonal. Pigeon fortune slips featuring pigeons, a symbol of happiness gathered at temples, are gaining popularity. The rare hexagonal main hall was rebuilt in 1877 (1877).
