At Chazuna, a facility where visitors can learn about the history of Uji and Uji tea, a very popular activity is to make and
taste your own powdered green tea! After the experience, a tour of the museum will help you understand more about tea.
There is also a café where you can enjoy matcha sweets and a store selling tea.
A popular course to grind a tea mortar and make powdered green tea. An instructor will teach you how to make and taste matcha. 2,000 yen per person (1 hour required)

Beyond the windows of the hands-on classroom, the Shukei Tea Garden, which recreates the landscape of a tea plantation, spreads out.
The museum exhibits the history of Uji tea and how to brew delicious tea. 4-language (English, Korean, Chinese *simplified and traditional) apps are available.
