Sacred old shrine in Sagano associated with "The Tale of Genji"
A shrine that appears in the famous Japanese love story " The Tale of Genji". There is a god who has the power to form good relationships, and it has become a popular tourist spot.
The photo shows the main shrine. Don't miss the beautiful moss garden called “carpet moss” on the north side of the main shrine, surrounded by a bamboo grove. In the fall, the contrast between the green moss and the autumn leaves is wonderful.
