The highlight of this temple is fall's “Arashiyama” and the temple's treasures.
It was built in 1429. It is a sub-temple of Tenryuji Temple and is open to the public only in spring and autumn. In addition to the dry landscape garden, the temple's many treasures, including the dynamic standing statue of Bishamonten (Vaisravana) and a Japanese painting by Seiho Takeuchi, are also major attractions.
