Souvenirs of fine sake brewed at a brewery upstream from Arashiyama
This sake brewery was founded in 1882 and is located in the upper reaches of Arashiyama, Kyoto. The brewery is committed to organic cultivation, using home-grown, pesticide-free rice and groundwater drawn from an 8-meter-deep well. Its mild and gentle taste is popular among foreign tourists. It is available at the Hachijo Exit of Kyoto Station, Arashiyama, Nishiki Market, etc., as well as at “Mannen” on the Byodoin Omotesando Street in Uji, which will open in 2024.
The photo shows Junmai Daiginjo Arashiyama 3,630 yen (720ml), Junmai Ginjo Genshu Fujin Raijin 3,300 yen (720ml), Junmai Daiginjo Genshu Ten -Kiwami 6,600 yen (720ml), Junmai Daiginjo Genshu Nagisa 5,500 yen (500ml).
