Enjoy Matsutake mushroom dishes
This long-established restaurant offers matsutake mushrooms, a typical autumn delicacy of Tamba, in a Japanese-style setting. Many people come all the way from Tokyo to pick matsutake mushrooms, a rare delicacy, for 35,000 yen and up. The Tanba matsutake mushroom course, available from mid-September to early November, is an exquisite course that includes grilled and steamed matsutake mushrooms in an earthen teapot, tempura, and rice cooked in a kamameshi (rice pot).

The eight-course course includes an appetizer, sashimi, steamed dish in an earthenware teapot, grilled dish, steamed dish, tempura, matsutake mushroom rice, and mizusono (clear broth). The chef's delicate technique is evident.
