YAMAGUCHI ART TEXTILES, which also supervises costumes for movies and TV dramas, has opened a hands-on studio where visitors can have their picture taken wearing uchikake, a highly prestigious kimono. Why not become a heroine of a period drama in the gorgeous costumes actually used in the filming of movies and TV dramas?
【4 Experience Courses】
There are two plans, a premium plan with a professional photographer and a casual plan with self-taken photos, each with two different courses.
【What kind of costume is UCHIKAKE?】
Uchikake is one of the most prestigious Japanese costumes. It is a long, thick cloth garment with gorgeous embroidery, and is usually worn over a kimono.
Both unmarried and married women can experience this service. Kimono dressing and hair setting can also be left to professionals.

You can wear beautiful uchikake with authentic period-style dressing.

The background is transferred onto a large 2m x 2.5m LED display, creating a photo with a realistic feel. A professional photographer will capture the best expressions on your face.
One of the studios used in the Casual Plan.
You can choose one of the two studios with different atmospheres and take a self portrait using authentic equipment. The shutter can be easily released at the touch of a button, so relax and enjoy the experience.
