The first manga museum in Japan that collects, preserves and displays materials related to manga in Japan and abroad. The library contains about 300,000 items ranging from historical documents to the latest popular manga. There are shelves of cartoons throughout the building, which can be picked up and read anywhere in the building.
The retro building is renovated from the former Tatsuike Elementary School, which was built in the early Showa period.
