  “Houjouya” is a festival to thank the Autumn crops. During the seven-day period, hundreds of vendors line up along the path, making it Kyushu's premier festival.

  In June, approximately 3,500 hydrangea bushes of around 100 different varieties bloom, enhancing the shrine pavilion to create a picturesque view.

  In the shrine compound is also a garden restaurant called “Hakozakigu geihinkan,” where French cuisine can be enjoyed.
