The origin of the shrine goes back to the mystical age. Worshipping Emperor Chuai and Empress Jingu as couple god and goddess, Kashiigu Shrine is one of the 16 Chokusai-sha shrines (shrines attended by imperial envoy) in Japan (two in Kyushu). Every ten years, an envoy is sent from the emperor and festival is held.In 2024, it will be the 1300th anniversary of its founding.Why not pray happiness and peace of your precious ones here where couple god and goddess linked with strong bond are looking down on you?
